Welcome to our 3 steps WordPress Installation & Optimization guide, the goal is to have a fully functional WordPress installation with improved security and optimized performance by the end of this guide.
After you have registered and received your foxver account credentials you can access the hosting panel and login.
Once you are logged in to the hosting panel at the top of the page you should see multiple tabs, you need to enter the “Sites ” tab as displayed on the image and press the “Add new website” button shown in the image.
In this step we need to specify the definition of the website.
“Domain”: enter your domain name.
“Harddisk Quota” enter the value according to the plan you have purchased, if unsure just leave it to -1, once you save it you will receive an error with the max quota assigned to you.
“Traffic Quota” enter the value according to the plan you have purchased, if unsure just leave it to -1, once you save it you will receive an error with the max quota assigned to you.
“Auto Subdomain” set it to www, we will create a redirect rule afterwards to improve search engine.
“Web server config” select the predefined wp config, this is required for correct permalinks setup.
Leave the other fields at their default settings and press “Save”.
Now that we have the website defined we need to install WordPress.
Inside the left sidebar you will find a section “APS Installer” and “Available Packages” menu as shown in the image, click on the “Available Packages” menu.
In this screen you have listed all the available packages for installation, search for WordPress and select it when found as shown in the image.
The details of this package are shown now, you should be able to see different information for this package including installation size, version and description of the package.
Click the “Install this package” button.
This is the last step of the installation, we need to configure the installation parameters.
“Install location” make sure your newly created site is selected here, if you have multiple website be careful here this can overwrite an existing website!
“New database password” auto-generated field feel free to change it if you wish, write down your password.
“Administrator’s login” default is admin if you wish you can change it, specified the admin username on WordPress.
“Password” password for the admin user on WordPress, write down your password.
Accept the license and press the “Install” button.
